Emporium Run

The International Emporium becomes your main fabric source. Filter by tags and buy by the metre.

Mid game

Goals for this beat

Emporium Run is about shopping with intent. The International Emporium stocks tagged bolts and tempting metres; your job is to match the active commission without wiping the accessory budget. Filtering beats browsing. Price-per-metre and leftover planning matter as much as color. Leave the Emporium with cloth that supports your sketchbook tags and enough reserve for buttons or lace. Treat every Emporium visit as a procurement mission with a written shopping list. Tags, metres, and reserve cash are the three fields on that list. If any field is empty when you reach checkout, step away and fix design or inventory planning before you spend.

  • Match fabric tags to the active commission before checkout.
  • Keep a reserve for buttons or lace after buying the main bolt.
  • Bring leftovers home instead of over-buying metres you will not cut.

How to play through it

  1. 1. Enter with tags and budget written down

Before you open filters, recall the commission tags and remaining budget after any prior spend. If the sketchbook bars are incomplete, go back and finish design first. Fabric cannot fully rescue a mismatched silhouette.

  2. 2. Filter by required tags, then compare metres

Apply style tag filters so unrelated bolts disappear. Among the matches, compare price per metre and how many metres your panels need. Color is the last tie-breaker, not the first.

  3. 3. Buy the shortfall, not the longest roll by default

Check inventory for leftovers that already cover some panels. Purchase only what you still need. Long silk rolls look efficient until they erase your trim budget and sit unused.

  4. 4. Protect a finishing reserve

Before confirming checkout, ask whether buttons or lace still fit the wallet. If not, step down to a cheaper matching bolt. Delivery scoring cares about style and budget together; a beautiful empty cart can still disappoint.

Hard spots

  • Filtering only by colour and missing required style tags.
  • Five-metre silk rolls wiping the accessory budget.
  • Shopping before sketchbook bars are cleared.
  • Leaving leftovers behind and rebuying the same tags next order.
